Louventz Milhomme.
Lou (as we call him for short) is our Compassion child. Ryan and I picked him out about 2 1/2 years ago and have loved sending and receiving letters to and from him over that period of time. He was just turning 4 when we first started sponsoring him and now he's 6. In the last couple of months we have started talking to Kylan about Lou and she has taken to praying for him whenever she thinks of him, coloring pictures for him, and has his picture up in her bedroom. I love watching her little heart think of and pray for this little boy that she has never met. She knows that he lives "far away" and that the far away place is Haiti. She also knows that we pray for him to know that we love him and that God loves him. She sometimes remembers to pray for him while she's eating because she wants God to take care of him and provide him with food like He has for her. It's so amazing to see her heart and mind wrap around the idea of thinking of and caring for others. Even someone so far away that she's never met. This is a short clip we grabbed of her talking about Lou to us one morning when she woke up. She has asked to sleep with his picture in her crib the night before, so she was thinking of him again when she woke up to his picture in the morning.
