RiverTree's Hartville campus has an event every other Friday in the summer called "Merge". It's such a great idea. It's one big cookout (meat/buns/drinks provided- everyone just brings a side dish or dessert) where tables are set up outside on the nice lawn and there's a swingset for the kids, a basketball hoop, lots of room to run and play, etc. It turns into one big family event. Since Nate works at Hartville and we like to support him (along with Dave Meysembourg and his family), and since we know a few other people that go to that campus, and since it's just good food and fun times- we go! At 9 o'clock Nate sets up the projector outside on the side of the building in the large yard and everyone brings blankets, chairs, etc and we watch a movie. The kids LOVE this. They sometimes even get in their pajamas and make it like a slumber party. Popcorn is made also and it's a good time. This week the weather was perfect, but the mosquitos were eating everyone from babies to adults alive. So we had our picnic and play time outside, but moved the movie inside.

Kylan decided Jess, Daddy, and someone else's toy was just as fun as Ratatouille.

If you don't mind me asking- which Fridays and where? We've been hitting movies in parks all over this summer and Jace loves it!
Hey Amber- it's every other Friday (so the next one would be August 8th, I believe) and the building is on Lake Center road in Hartville (take Cleveland Avenue North all the way up into Uniontown where Lake Center Road will be on your right. Turn right onto Lake Center and take that a couple miles until you'll see the building on your left- sort of up on a hill- and has a RiverTree sign in the front yard). Also, if you go to my facebook profile and look down on the left hand side for "groups", click on RiverTree Christian Church Hartville. That will take you to Hartville's page and you can go look down on the right hand side under "events" and find out what weeks "Merge" is happening I believe. Hope that helps!
