We have a retirement community very close to our neighborhood that is called Heather Ridge. Each year they decorate all the buildings with tons of lights; they set up displays of carolers, church choirs, a family baking, snow skiers, etc; they have a live nativity with not only real people, but live animals as well; Santa and his sleigh set up on a rooftop; and Santa and Mrs. Claus are there with hot drinks and cookies, candy canes, and craft tables for kids. We have never gone before, but, with Kylan, we wanted to take her and let her enjoy it. Because of how cold it was, and due to my thick gloves I really didn't take many pictures of all the cool things. But here are just a couple that I braved the cold, bared my hands, and snapped real quickly.

Grandma and Grandpa poiting out to Kylan...
...that Santa and his sleigh are on the roof top!
A picture of Ryan and I- a rarity these days- (with our skiing buddies in the background) thanks to my Dad taking a moment to be the photographer.

Sarita! My grandma's living at Heather Ridge now. It was so fun to see the pictures of you there. Those ski people are kind of scary in the daytime - my grandma's window overlooks them. :)
