We thought it'd be fun to have a "slumber party"/"camp out" in the living room with Kylan. We'd all snuggle up in the pull-out sofa and watch a Christmas movie by the glow of the Christmas tree lights (no fireplace, so it can't be by the glow of a fire), and then all fall asleep together for the night. It was a nice thought- but not exactly how it happened. Kylan thought that pulling the couch out and turning it into a big bed was really cool. She also thought watching a Veggie Tells Christmas movie was really cool. She did not, however, think that laying still and eventually sleeping was cool at all. She's so good about going to sleep every night and so used to sleeping by herself in her own room with her bedtime routine, that she just could not switch that mindset. She could never get herself settled down and even before the movie was done she told us she wanted to go back and sleep in her room. And sleep she did- I think she was snoring almost as soon as I laid her down. Well, it was fun while it lasted.
