My Grandma (Kylan calls her "Gigi") lives in Atlanta, GA and we don't often get the chance to see her. But this week she was thinking of Kylan and bought her a book which she mailed to us. It's an adorable story about a caterpillar, and when you open the book the caterpillar's body pops out, which Kylan loves. It's like a slinky, covered in fabric and she thinks its so cool play with it as we turn each page. And at the end of the book he turns into a butterfly and a fold out butterfly pops out. All these things (in addition to the fact that it's a thick board book- meaning it's indestructible to Kylan's constant energy) make it a perfect gift. She's been saying "Gigi!" every time she sees the book because I told her that's who it came from. And she's been having me read it to her every day before nap time (and any other time she happens to see it), as well as carrying it around with her wherever she goes.
